Regarding W3C/WAI Getting Started Tips Collaboration

Hello Sébastien,

I apologize for such a late reply to your message, but I did want to
confirm receipt and reply.

Thank you for reaching out to the W3C WAI Education & Outreach Working
Group (EOWG) about the Tips for Getting Started with Web Accessibility
resources. We appreciate the comments and offer to use the AcceDe Web as a
resource related to the Getting Started Tips resource. The EOWG noted that
the AcceDe resource is more detailed and covers more issues than what we
set out to provide for the Getting Started Tips, which was intended to be
succinct and mostly non-technical for accessibility beginners.

We do however, see an opportunity for assistance on the Tips for Getting
Started resource. We are interested in translating these tips into other
languages to meet a wider audience. Please let us know if your group would
be willing to work on a French translation of the WAI Tips for Getting
Started on Web Accessibility site. This would involve a direct translation,
as we are seeking only to translate and not expand the resource.

We look forward to the possibilities of having this resource translated so
that it can be used by a wider audience.

Thank you,
Brent (EOWG co-chair)
on behalf of the WAI Education & Outreach Working Group

Hello W3C/WAI :)
> I am reading Tips for Getting Started with Web Accessibility: this is an excellent resource! Thank you for that!

> Since 3 years, we are working on a similar project: AcceDe Web. The last version is in French: http://www.accede-web.com/notices/
> * Designing for Web Accessibility:
> http://www.accede-web.com/notices/graphique/
> * Developing for Web Accessibility:
> o HTML/CSS and JavaScript:
> http://www.accede-web.com/notices/html-css-javascript/
> o Rich Interfaces Applications:
> http://www.accede-web.com/notices/interface-riche/
> * Writing for accessibility: http://www.accede-web.com/notices/editoriale/

AcceDe Web is subject to the terms of the Creative Commons BY 3.0.
Maybe these resources can help you to complete Tips for Getting
Started with Web Accessibility?

We have an english version: http://wiki.accede-web.com/en/home But it
is a too old version (2012-2013).

Maybe can we work together on an English version of the new one?
