Conformance Evaluation of Web Sites for Accessibility

We are looking to evaluate a website against WCAG 2 criteria. 

We note that the page noted here that describes conformance evaluation was last updated in 2005, and various aspects of the page appear out of date (reference to Netscape Navigator for example, and reference to WCAG 1).

Can we be assured that this page is current, and that the protocol described is still recommended by WAI for conformance evaluation to WCAG 2? Or is it simply out of date and in need of a refresh? If the latter, what is the conformance evaluation protocol recommended for WACG 2?
