Hi Jan, I am sure you know about this since you work for Jutta. I have been asked to inform the UA WG of an effort to coordinate IMS GLC standards, ISO SC36, and the work on Fluid Project. I am also working to synchronize this effort with work being done in tye Ubiquitous web effort. Ultimately, the goal is to provide mainstream, standardized vehicles for delivering user perferences to a host system ensure proper selections of alternative content, content adaptation, etc. Fluid, as you know, is Web 2.0 content adaptation for an LMS. In the future there may be a need for user agents to interact with identity broker systems or a Device Profile Evolution server (one is currently run by the Open Mobile Alliance) to deliver user preferences to content providers. ISO SC36 is an ISO version of IMS with some modifications encompassing standards for accessibility resource meta data and user preferences.
