I've been meaning to pull an issues/gaps list out of Jim's summary (http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-ua/2008JanMar/0047.html), so here's a start: (my comments are marked JR) 1. Keyboard access to video controls JR: covered by 4.1 - need to ensure this is clear to reader 2. Scaling video JR: we talk about text scale in 3.7 but I think we need to add more about scaling video and graphics - this ties in with our "large printing" issue. 3. Displaying Captions JR: We may need to be more clear that 3.7 covers captions. 4. When video is native, greater interaction will be possible between video and the rest of the content on a page JR: This means video will be controlled more and more by buttons other than play/pause/stop etc. Guidance may be necessary on what to do about multiple simultaneous video sources. 5. Selecting tracks (language, etc.) JR: I think 3.2 covers it. 6. Contrast of video? JR: This would be a new requirement - seems useful and would apply to other graphics too. 7. Spatial navigation in video (e.g. multiple links on a particular frame) and also links in captions JR: Covered by spirit of 4.1 but needs explicit call-outs I think. 8. Temporal navigation of video JR: Jim mentions might be covered by 4.7. It's also covered again by spirit of 4.1. 4.3 is also relevant. Any issues I'm missing? Cheers, Jan -- Jan Richards, M.Sc.
