3.3.7 redundant entry

Hello

When a website has a double input to compare for validation (such as when you are asked to input your email address twice when signing up to a service or filling in a form, to ensure they match) is this considered essential and therefore an exception? You can't paste into the fields so you have to type manually.

This particular service is sending a sensitive document, so does this come under 'the information is required to ensure the security of the content' as they are taking care to ensure it's being sent to the correct email address?
