Hi Linda, What does WCAG stand for? ;-) WEB CONTENT accessibility guideline. I think that already includes the answer to your question. But: WCAG is written in a way, that makes it applicable for many digital products (ion you want to do so). That is why if laws in many countries require to meet WCAG SCs. For example it is no problem to say, that texts and interactive elements in an app should meet contrast ratios that are described in the WCAG. So you can (partially) use th WCAG SCs even for non web applications and contents where it makes sense. I hope this helps in general. I can’t answer about 508 compliancy - in Europe we have other legislations and guidelines. - But I’m sure, someone else here will answer this part of your question.
