RE: Question on multiple buttons with same visible label

This could be a failure of 2.4.6 Headings and Labels. The labels for each of the buttons may not be descriptive enough to determine their topic or purpose.

Hi Kiran,

Unfortunately, 2.4.4 is scoped only to links. You might consider SC 1.3.1, because the visual relationship of the product name to the various "buy now" buttons is not provided in the code.

Best regards,
Juliette

Hi all!!

Could you clarify my confusion on this, please?

I have a web page with multiple buttons with the same visible label on the page, (for example multiple buttons with "buy now" on the web page for different products) does each button need additional information using aria-labelledby to give more context on the product name to satisfy the 2.4.4 link purpose WCAG criteria?

Please share your thoughts. Thank you in advance for your time and response on this.
