RE: Seeking help with JAWS

If it’s only the F keys that no longer work correctly with JAWS, it sounds like you have accidentally turned on the function lock. I am guessing that your F keys have a main function and a second function that is accessed using a modifier key. On machines like this there is usually a function lock key that toggles the default behaviour of the F keys, and I think you have accidentally done this. Unfortunately, there isn’t a standard way of doing this, so I don’t know what it would be on your machine.

If none of the JAWS keys are working, then I have no idea what has happened.

Subject: Seeking help with JAWS

Hi all,
JAWS commands are being ignored on my laptop. Rather than recognizing JAWS key+F6 to open a list of headers, it triggers the volume control on the F6 key.

I'm afraid I accidentally turned off JAWS commands. Can anyone please help me restore them?

Mike
