Hi, There has been good advice on copyright and fair use posted in this thread. However, if the professor started with an EPUB and copied and pasted the passage, there is more of a chance that the information would come through and be accessible. If the professor created the materials in Word, they could use the WordToEPUB add-in that is freely available at daisy.org/wordtoepub. The professors in all countries need to be creating Born Accessible materials. We have been doing sessions on this for CSUN, Accessing Higher Ground, and at IMS Global leadership conferences. The number of pages is small enough to qualify for fair use, but the format is grossly inaccessible. Is there a good way for teachers to obtain an accessible format and still qualify for fair-use? For myself, I just found the text on Bookshare, but many others don't have the patience, and my skill doesn't help teachers who don't have access to Bookshare. Best, Wayne
