Hi Jeana, I was the person who wrote the Hassell Inclusion blog post on the summary and details elements. Obviously the IE11 support issue will not be changing, although there are polyfills that can help add support in IE. The good news re NVDA is that it now works fine. The issue actually turned out to be a small bug in Firefox which was fixed about a year ago. The last time I tested NVDA the summary and details elements with a newer version of Firefox it did announce when the panel was opened and closed (actually expanded and collapsed). We're planning an update on that blog post some time soon.
