Noting that if you're doing an ACR/VPAT, you generally reference WCAG 2.x as well. So regardless of what Apple or Google may say/comment, WCAG is indeed referenced officially by Section 508 and EN 301 549. And yes, by design, WCAG is for web technologies (it's in the name). With a few exceptions though, the principles and requirements underlying SCs are tech agnostic. Also yes, the idea behind Silver is that it will be even more agnostic/applicable to all sorts of things beyond pure web technologies (for better or worse). P -- Patrick H.
