Sorry for the late reply, I thought some other people would give their 2 
cents first, but obviously not :-/

It's probably due to the fact that the HTML5 spec has obsoleted 
@summary, so it isn't supported within VO. While the fat lady hasn't 
totally finished signing, she is certainly past warming up and is at the 
end of her ARIA (no pun intended), and @summary firmly has 9 toes in the 
grave.

As an aside, there was a _slim_  chance (a nano/wafer slim chance) that 
there may have been a reprieve - but at this stage I can't say I'm 
hopeful. I've pretty much said all I have to say. For those interested, 
the 'stay of execution' request is on the ESW wiki. If anyone wishes to 
add anything, or thinks they have a fresh angle on why @summary should 
stay - please ping me. [1]
