Hi Michael,
Thanks for that. What is the future for ARIA if html 4 is no longer supported? Will it be possible to use and validate ARIA and html 5?

Subject: Re: HTML Validation with ARIA
A HTML 4 plus WAI-ARIA DTD is available from http://www.w3.org/WAI/ARIA/schemata/. This can be used to validate pages that use ARIA and otherwise are intended to conform to HTML 4. Note this is just a draft DTD and is not meant to be directly referenced, it should be downloaded. It is not expected to have official standing in HTML 4 since that language is not being maintained anymore. But hopefully it fills the validation need. If you have any thoughts about this DTD, consider submitting a comment to the Protocols and Formats Working Group via http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/comments/.

Hello,
Please is it possible to validate a html 4.01 web page that implements ARIA? Or is there a way to implement ARIA on a web page such that it will validate?
If this is not achieveable, please does anyone know why this is so? Thanks in advance.
