Java is a programming language, almost entirely unrelated to JavaScript. Sun Microsystems (who own Java) have very little to do with JavaScript, which is driven mostly by browser vendors. Most of the accessibility issues relating to it are caused by the way programs written in JS manipulate the DOM (which is a set of W3C recommendations), and work is already underway to improve things there (primarily with http://www.w3.org/WAI/intro/aria / http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Accessible_DHTML ). -- David Dorward http://dorward.me.uk/ http://blog.dorward.me.uk/
