See UAAG Overview: http://www.w3.org/WAI/intro/uaag.php UAAG is part of a series of accessibility guidelines from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines (ATAG). The relationship between these WAI guidelines, and how Web accessibility depends on several components of Web development and interaction working together is described in Essential Components of Web Accessibility: http://www.w3.org/WAI/intro/components.php UAAG 1.0 was completed in December 2002. UAAG 2.0 Requirements defines planned new work on the second generation of UAAG and lists areas for development in UAAG 2.0, including accounting for advances in Web technologies and designing UAAG 2.0 to be relevant as Web technologies continue to evolve. The UAAG Working Group encourages developers of browsers, assistive technologies, plug-ins, extensions, and accessibility APIs (application programming interfaces), as well as end users, to provide feedback on this UAAG 2.0 Requirements. Please send comments to the (publicly visible) mailing list: public-uaag2-comments@w3.org The UAAG 2.0 Requirements document is intended to become a W3C Working Group Note, which is an advisory report as described in How WAI Develops Accessibility Guidelines through the W3C Process: Milestones and Opportunities to Contribute: http://www.w3.org/WAI/intro/w3c-process For information on participating in UAAG 2.0 development, see Participation in the User Agent Accessibility Working Group: http://www.w3.org/WAI/UA/participation.html Note: This message may be circulated to other lists, avoiding cross-postings as possible.
