I read the WCAG2 Draft last night and I like it for the most part, I really love the idea of seperating techology specific checklists especially. Though I have some questions about how implementation is expected to occur for some points. for Guideline 3.1 Level 2: Is there some conceptual design available for how a developer can integrate word pronunciation, word meaning and idiom meaning? Derivation meaning for abbreviations and acronyms is simple enough in HTML with the appropriate tags. But how in the page structure will are developers going to define the pronunciation and meanings of words? for Guideline 3.1 Level 3: the vocabulary section speaks of Controlled Language. In HTML where and how does one define what the Controlled Language is? for Guideline 3.2 Level 1: how is change of context determined programmatically? this seems like a very subjective point. All the Guidleline 3 points, but especially 3.1 Level 3, look very complex and at time subjective. Can someone point me to a group working on programmatic identification of the points in Guideline 3? It looks like a very interesting field. Thanks, Brent Morris Software Developer Region of Halton
