Maybe it's just because I've been talking too long with Brian Kelly

last night, but when I read that I started thinking...FOAF/RDF

Company A:
   is rubbish, John Doe
   is mediocre, Jane Doe
   used by, Atom Corp
   is really good, Fred Dibner.

Once RDF gets the provenance idea, this would meet the need exactly.
E.g. John Doe is well respected, Jane Doe has lost all her ebay credentials,
so we believe ... you decide.

Another nice idea.
Linked to FOAF, but another separable one. Do we feed it to Bristol
and let it grow?
