dp. Yes, I see what you mean. 
Positive response, if no one sticks their neck out, we'll never get
anything. Negative, why should I take the risk?

I do have a list of links. Some have suggested themselves directly 
(though I find it very English that such self promotion is not public),
so I do have a number of suggestions.

Re a 'trusted' host, to hold a list, probably without direct
recommendation, for the US, who would you suggest has sufficient
reputation?
