This is true and immediate however a rather negative approach, please see my
other email and consider how adding .colour to the dom (for the current
mouse position) might enhance interactivity.

The current colour is an important aspect, for me at least as important as
coordinate. I'm very unclear as to how this got left off  the DOM, but that
cannot be surprising to many.
