sound problems

I am having problems getting sounds to play.
eg

http://www.peepo.com/2k/things_we_do/

seems to work well enough in ie5 and netscape4.6 under windows.

however in linux Konqueror and netscape repeat the sound endlessly.

is it my setup?
coding?
insoluble?
