The IAAIS Virtual Committee is currently soliciting bids for the creation of an On-Line Database for the organization. Proposals are due on November 29th to IAAIS Administrative Assistant, Lori Miller at <mailto:lrmiller@ukans.edu>lrmiller<mailto:lrmiller@ukans.edu>@ukans.e du. Here are the parameters for the bid: Purpose: To provide a current and easily accessible membership database to members of the International Association of Audio Information Services (IAAIS) and its Board of Directors. Process: create a searchable, password protected on-line database to be accessed through the IAAIS website (iaais.org). Needs: Searchable database; compatible with screen readers (minimal graphics); accessible in limited form (organization name and phone) to anyone visiting website; password protected for access to full database; password protected for editing features; ability to print reports and labels from website; will include at least 20 fields containing information received in recent membership survey Other information: current database is stored in dos based program called "Mydatabase". Information from "mydatabase" must be easily transferred to new on-line database. A prototype (usable system) needs to be set up within two months of granting of bid with another month set aside for input from virtual committee and board of directors. Please direct additional questions to Lori Miller <mailto:lrmiller@ukans.edu>lrmiller<mailto:lrmiller@ukans.edu>@ukans.e du or Art Hadley <mailto:art@ukans.edu>art@ukans.edu Should you ever wish to leave the BLINDJOB mailing list in the future, you may do so by sending an e-mail message to listserv@MAELSTROM.STJOHNS.EDU.
