The International Association of Audio Information Services, IAAIS, is
seeking bids on a small internet web-based database job.


The IAAIS Virtual Committee is currently soliciting bids for the
creation of an On-Line Database for the organization.  Proposals are
due on November 29th to IAAIS Administrative Assistant, Lori Miller at

Here are the parameters for the bid:

Purpose: To provide a current and easily accessible membership
database to members of the International Association of Audio
Information Services (IAAIS) and its Board of Directors.

Process:  create a searchable, password protected on-line database to
be accessed through the IAAIS website (iaais.org).

Needs:  Searchable database; compatible with screen readers (minimal
graphics); accessible in limited form (organization name and phone) to
anyone visiting website; password protected for access to full
database; password protected for editing features; ability to print
reports and labels from website; will include at least 20 fields
containing information received in recent membership survey

Other information:  current database is stored in dos based program
called "Mydatabase".  Information from "mydatabase" must be easily
transferred to new on-line database.  A prototype (usable system)
needs to be set up within two months of granting of bid with another
month set aside for input from virtual committee and board of
directors.
