1. Last Call Closes March 19 for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines:

We do not anticipate any extensions of the Last Call deadline, after which
the guidelines will go to W3C Member organizations for final review. Please
make any remaining comments before before March 19 (the earlier the
better). The document is at
<http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/WD-WAI-PAGEAUTH-19990226/> and the Last Call is
at <http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-ig/1999JanMar/0315.html>.

2. Registration for WAI/CSUN meetings open till March 12:

This is a reminder that registration is required to attend the WAI meetings
on March 20 and 21 following the CSUN Conference in Los Angeles. Meetings
will include a WAI Interest Group meeting, an Education and Outreach WG
meeting, and a Protocols & Formats WG meeting (Chair's permission
required). Registration materials are available at
<http://www.w3.org/WAI/1999/03/agenda.htm>.

3. User Agent Accessibility Guidelines Call for Review Closes March 16:

The UAWG has a new draft under review by Interest Group until Tuesday,
March 16. The document is at
<http://www.w3.org/WAI/UA/WD-WAI-USERAGENT-19990309/> and the call for
review is at
<http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-ig/1999JanMar/0377.html>

4. Web Accessibility Policy References Available:

The Education & Outreach Working Group has compiled a list of laws,
regulations, and policies, from different countries that either directly or
indirectly impact on accessibility of Web sites or Web applications. This
is available at <http://www.w3.org/WAI/References/Policy> and includes
recent additions.

5. Protocols & Formats WG Increases Activity:

The Protocols and Formats WG reviews W3C technologies for accessibility
issues. Recent & upcoming discussions include accessibility issues in
Mobile Access Guidelines, International Layout in CSS, Character Model for
the Web, XHTML, XLink, RDF, etc. If you are interested in joining the PFWG
group or attending the meeting in Los Angeles, contact either Co-Chair as
described at <http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/>.

6. Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines New Draft:

Following the AUWG face-to-face meeting at Lotus on March 1 and 2, the AUWG
released an internal Working Draft incorporating discussion from the
meeting. If you'd like an advance look, go to the AUWG home page at
<http://www.w3.org/WAI/AU> and look for the "latest working group draft."

7. WAI Meetings following WWW8 Conference in Toronto:

WAI is planning meetings on May 15 and 16 in Toronto following the WWW8
Conference. Tentatively these will be meetings of the WAI Interest Group;
Authoring Tool Guidelines Working Group; Evaluation & Repair Tools Groups;
