Please review by 2 December: Current editor's draft of WCAG2ICT Group Note

As introduced in the 18 November AG WG meeting, this email serves to kick off a review of updates to the WCAG2ICT Group Note. The review is open for a 2-week period due to the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday week and concludes on 2 December. This will be followed by a CfC to publish the updated WCAG2ICT Group Note. The goal is to complete the publication before year-end.

Changes have been made to WCAG2ICT to further align with the EN 301 549, which is now frozen and out for vote before it gets adopted as the harmonized standard for the European Accessibility Act.

Issue 812<https://github.com/w3c/wcag2ict/issues/812> in the WCAG2ICT repository provides links to the clean and a diff version (between the current editor’s draft and the last Group Note published on August 2025) . There is also a list of the more substantive changes with a link to the diff version so you can see what changed. Add a thumbs up if you agree this is ready to publish (found at the bottom of the issue description) or add your comments to the issue. Note that comments made to request substantive changes may be difficult to incorporate at this point, as this publication needs to be as harmonized, as much as possible, to what is in the draft EN 301 549.
