RE: CFC - Publish WCAG2ICT First Public Working Draft

AG Working Group members,

We have received substantially positive feedback leading up to this CfC and one objection (represented by https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-gl/2023JulSep/0171.html)

This objection was regarding the use of the color contrast calculation from WCAG 2.0 in a new document. This was considered, but WCAG2ICT cannot introduce new requirements or change them; it can only describe how (or whether) to use the requirements from WCAG 2.2 for non-web documents and software. This is a FPWD containing specific updates that did not modify the color contrast calculation already incorporated into the 2013 WCAG2ICT Note (https://www.w3.org/TR/wcag2ict/).   An issue has been opened for WCAG 3 to research color contrast, and that is an appropriate place to address this concern. Once addressed, changes to those requirements can be incorporated into an accompanying update to WCAG2ICT.

This CfC is agreed as a consensus opinion of the working group.

We previously agreed upon accepting the First Public Working Draft of WCAG2ICT.  No concerns were raised in our pre-cfc email.
