And for avoidance of doubt, I'm not arguing here for or against just ignoring/dropping these new SCs. I'm just putting in words of caution about not trying to (accidentally) mandate things without due care and consideration. It's easy (as we've seen with 2.0 and 2.1) to have SCs that, even during review and public comment period, appear to be spot on, only to then later realise that there are odd edge cases and weird interactions between existing and new SCs that were unforeseen, once those SCs hit the complexity of real-world wild web content.
