Hello, We are experiencing some communication challenges and tension in the group. This is not surprising. We have new chairs and new members coming into the AG working group at the same time we are all learning a new work environment in uncertain times because of the pandemic. We recognize that change can cause stress and we want to ensure that the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group continues as a collaborative, productive place where everyone can contribute. To that purpose, please take a few minutes to review our conduct expectations f <https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Conduct_expectations>or AG: For our meetings and asynchronous communications (email etc.) we expect participants to: o Assume positive intentions from others. o Treat others with the respect you expect to be treated with. o Take an inquiry stance. o Ground statements in evidence. o Hear all voices. We have a diverse group with individuals who rightly advocate for different parties including end users, user agents, testing organizations, and development organizations. Participants in AG have a wealth of personal and professional experience. When writing to the list, please try to respectfully balance the different audiences and backgrounds. For example, there might be some facts about a topic that not everyone on the list would know about, while others are very familiar. It can help to assume expertise in your tone and how you present the facts, but *also* include the references and evidence for those who might not know. Please also bring your insights and concerns into conversation as early as possible in the overall process. Having all voices heard earlier, helps ensure we craft the best content possible. Thank you, AGWG Chairs group-ag-chairs@w3.org
