Also, I will mention that participation was better than I could have hoped for.  Thank you for all the work that went into that!

Regrets for tomorrow.  In terms of the “Next Normative Work”, personally I would be in favor prioritizing Silver, and the anticipated schedule seems like it would fit any future update to 508.

I have no objections to working on 2.2 either.  I would still like to see a “feature complete” version in the 2.x line (which we cannot get to with fiddling some of the normative bits of 2.0), but after this morning presentations, that now seems unnecessary to me.

Silver group is working on prototypes to show for TPAC.   The prototypes are still separate so they are easier to  perform testing with stakeholders.  Since AGWG is a stakeholder for Silver, we will do some usability testing with AGWG.

Information Architecture:

Silver proposes to flatten the WCAG architecture into Guidelines and Methods.  We will review in detail what happens to all the WCAG architecture on Monday at TPAC, but generally, most existing SC will move to Guidelines and Techniques will move to Methods. There is a lot of detail that we have worked out, but please wait for the presentation on Monday before commenting.  There is a tagging engine that will connect the guidelines and methods that will also help with filtering and searching.  It is database driven.  It currently has lorem ipsum dummy information, so that evaluators focus on the structure and not the content.

This prototype's  database is running on a server that is only designed for individual traffic, so be patient with it.  We plan to move to the Silver Github repo by TPAC.

Plain Language:

This is a simple prototype of what an existing success criterion of WCAG 2.1 could look like if moved to Silver and written in plain language.  It also includes what could be considered the Silver equivalent of the Understanding document.  Today, there are is a template with the structure of the guidance (for those who want a quick glance) and a sample that is filled out with most of the information for 2.4.10 Section Headings.
