RE: Survey for WCAG and Game Accessibility Guidelines Gap Analysis

Are you planning to investigate gaps in accessibility guidance regarding virtual reality, educational simulations and similar applications as well? Note that these applications may have features similar to games in some respects.

The APA Working Group’s Research Questions Task Force has compiled an overview of the literature related to the accessibility of virtual reality, an effort which is currently being extended to include augmented reality as well. This work is intended to inform the standards development process within the W3C.

Subject: Survey for WCAG and Game Accessibility Guidelines Gap Analysis

Dear Colleagues,

We are conducting a gap analysis of WCAG 2.0 and Game Accessibility Guidelines. The study is a contribution to the work by the W3C WCAG Silver Taskforce that aims to go beyond the web to apps. However, games are a special type of application that is limited by game rules and have many forms of inputs and outputs that are unique to games or less common in other applications. We need your input to validate our gap analysis.

Please answer the survey on or before March 20th 2018.
It may take about 20-30 minutes to fill in.
You find the survey here: https://goo.gl/BB4sqa<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Furldefense.proofpoint.com%2Fv2%2Furl%3Fu%3Dhttps-3A__goo.gl_BB4sqa%26d%3DDwMFaQ%26c%3DOCIEmEwdEq_aNlsP4fF3gFqSN-E3mlr2t9JcDdfOZag%26r%3DrFUXx2e9esgOU_SQf_woJw%26m%3D2S0MHFhHjgFgr4G-2A61Gb-bsI646mXxtIW7eGUD5Zc%26s%3DGGzUidtF3mI90pdBtCfmOBO1n9ZA1poUmnhUF7X3ccY%26e%3D&data=02%7C01%7Cjjwhite%40ets.org%7Cd665b745383640a64d5d08d585bc5dc2%7C0ba6e9b760b34fae92f37e6ddd9e9b65%7C0%7C0%7C636561966429654038&sdata=vZQmAx8NJMK3XAvqglueyYibS7diR1B8dUN2sMILYNY%3D&reserved=0>
The results will be analyzed and reported in the academic press.
