+1 From: Andrew Kirkpatrick [mailto:akirkpat@adobe.com] Sent: Wednesday, January 10, 2018 1:43 PM To: WCAG <w3c-wai-gl@w3.org> Subject: CFC - Response to Issues 296 and 315 Importance: High Call For Consensus — ends Friday, January 12th at 1pm Boston time. The Working Group has discussed a response to issue 296 (https://github.com/w3c/wcag21/issues/296) and issue 315 (https://github.com/w3c/wcag21/issues/315). The specific response is: Thanks you for your comment. The Working Group is not making changes to definitions that were introduced in WCAG 2.0 at this time, out of an abundance of caution regarding possibly changing the understanding of what the normative definition is for the terms. We will mark this issue as “defer” to ensure that it is re-reviewed at the next opportunity. Call minutes: https://www.w3.org/2018/01/10-ag-minutes.html#item02 If you have concerns about this proposed consensus position that have not been discussed already and feel that those concerns result in you “not being able to live with” this decision, please let the group know before the CfC deadline.
