Based on this, it would seem to be correct to mark a button to start a new email or online document as either “new” or “compose”. I don’t think that is going to be helpful. I think that compose sounds like a combination of “new” and “edit”. What do the existing metadata for purposes (e.g. schema.org) do for this situation?
