That’s why I proposed the 3 scenarios that we need solutions for, if we cannot cover the first two (and work around the 3rd) then we know it isn’t feasible.

The TL;DR is that there are solutions for 2FA, but in the way it applies to websites it is currently Chrome-only. I don’t think that would be acceptable?

Happy to be wrong about it, and in learning about the solution we’d then have some techniques to use.
