Previously the terms were in a definition, I have a feeling they got moved to the SC as that was the easiest way to edit it, not because that was the long-term intent.

Can we create a definition for “conventional user interface components” and move the terms into that?
“The following are considered conventional user interface components, in three categories:”

And an ednote such as:
“The definition of conventional user interface components includes a list of what is considered a common set of controls which would benefit from being consistently identified. The working group is interested in feedback to do with the list such as updates to the descriptions, additions or removals.”
