Lisa,

Diversity of stakeholders, use cases and personas is a VERY important goal of Silver, and one that the group is very committed to.  The WCAG WG will be approving the stakeholder map, the use cases and personas before they are complete, and the WCAG WG will be receiving regular reports from the group so there should be sufficient controls to insure diversity.

I will say that personally, increasing the diversity of Silver is very important to me, and the major reason that I agreed to the research phase of the project.

CALL FOR CONSENSUS – ends Thursday October 27 at 5:00pm Boston time.

This is a proposed response to an decision of the Working Group.  The item was surveyed, discussed on the WG call, and approved (http://www.w3.org/2016/10/25-wai-wcag-minutes.html#item07).

The decision is that the process defined at https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Process_of_Designing_Silver is agreed to by the working group as the way forward with a longer effort to research, develop requirements, and begin to produce a major update to WCAG. Please review the minutes of the call and the survey responses as you consider this CfC.

If you have concerns about this proposed consensus decision that have not been discussed already and feel that those concerns result in you “not being able to live with” this position, please let the group know before the CfC deadline.
