That’s great, so the (now shorter) proposed SC is: 2.x.x User initiated animation: For animation triggered by a user action that is not an essential part of the action, there is a mechanism for the user to pause, stop or hide the animation whilst still performing the same action. (Level AA?) That allows for scrolling, and things like menu drop-downs are also clearly not included.
