WCAGers, As we have received only positive feedback leading up to this CfC and no negative responses during it, this CfC is agreed on as the consensus of the working group and the documents will be published. This decision is recorded at https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Decisions Thanks, AWK Andrew Kirkpatrick Group Product Manager, Accessibility Adobe akirkpat@adobe.com http://twitter.com/awkawk http://blogs.adobe.com/accessibility From: Andrew Kirkpatrick <akirkpat@adobe.com<mailto:akirkpat@adobe.com>> Date: Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 21:27 To: WCAG <w3c-wai-gl@w3.org<mailto:w3c-wai-gl@w3.org>> Subject: CfC: Publish updated Techniques and Understanding documents Resent-From: WCAG <w3c-wai-gl@w3.org<mailto:w3c-wai-gl@w3.org>> Resent-Date: Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 21:28 CALL FOR CONSENSUS – ends Monday February 29 at 9:30pm Boston time. The Working Group reviewed the updated techniques and understanding documents (offered for public comment in January and which now include all changes made as a result of comments) and as a result of a unanimous survey (https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/35422/Feb2016TandU/results) approving publication of these documents we are now calling for consensus on the publication. Techniques: Techniques for WCAG 2.0<http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/2016/WD-WCAG20-TECHS-20160223/> Understanding: Understanding WCAG 2.0<http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/2016/WD-UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20-20160223/> In addition to each document containing a link to a diff-marked version of the document, those familiar with GitHub and willing to wade through a little XML can see the specific changes in the source documents on GitHub<https://github.com/w3c/wcag/compare/Working-Branch-for-Q1-2016>. Even if unfamiliar with GitHub, this may help identify the specific files where changes exist. If you have concerns about publishing these documents that have not been discussed already and feel that those concerns result in you “not being able to live with” this decision, please let the group know before the CfC deadline.
