Thank you for the review and comments, Wayne. I am very glad to get confirmation that the pages work well for you in your configuration! I think pulling the links out of the News blurbs would actually make them longer overall, and make it a bit harder to get context - or wordier. I created two issues about the change text size and colors: * https://github.com/w3c/wai-customize-design/issues/2 * https://github.com/w3c/wai-website/issues/84 Best, ~Shawn On 5/10/2018 1:45 PM, Wayne Dick wrote: > I am wondering if the News section on the main page might function more like a newspaper. Otherwise the users are in a trap. Also the link resize and color should get bigger on focus or hover. There is the very real problem of not being able to see the link on entry to the page. The first time I encountered this (way back when) I was very frustrated because it didn't help me. Do you see? There are two problems: 1) finding the make text large in the first place and 2) Being able to read the page once you get there. > > The page looks great. I could read it in a comfortable size. I didn't get lost. The content was good. It has significant revisions for better usability, readability, skimmability, findability, discoverability, and content throughout. The visual design, information architecture, and navigation is all new. Much of the content is revised. It's also easier for the community to be involved in improving resources. Many content updates are already done in the beta, and others are planned for the coming months. > > Please see <https://github.com/w3c/wai-website/wiki/W3C-WAI-Website-Redesign-Information> for: > * Known issues we're working on > * Updated status information > * Acknowledgements > * How to comment links > > We welcome your help in sharing this information widely. > > Tweet: https://twitter.com/w3c_wai/status/992051006207819776 > > Best, > ~Shawn > > > On 3/15/2018 1:30 PM, Shawn Henry wrote: > > Dear WAI Interest Group Participants, > > > > We've been redesigning our website, including the visual design and information architecture.
