EOWG new Co-Chair ! Brent Bakken

Hi EOWG,

I am very exited to share the news that Brent has been appointed EOWG Co-Chair along with Sharron. [1] Brent is replacing me as Co-Chair, and I will remain active in EOWG as the "W3C Team Contact", as WAI outreach coordinator, and as EOWG participant. [2]

Basically, what that means for you starting next week:
* Brent will usually lead/"chair" the Friday telecons.
* Sharron has graciously volunteered to continue her amazing scribing -- see [3], and will continue to contribute as a non-telecon-leading Working Group Co-Chair during the telecons.
* I'll be more relaxed on the Friday telecons. :-)

Sharron, Brent, and I will work together, along with editors of EOWG deliverables, to plan and coordinate EOWG work.

As always, please consider us to have "open doors" and please share any questions, comments, or suggestions you have with us directly.

From my perspective, Brent joining Sharron as EOWG Co-Chairs is a big positive for EOWG. Brent's skills are a great compliment to Sharron's skills, and together they will make an awesome leadership team.
(This will also free up some of my energy. :-)

As a reminder, here's some info about Brent: <https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-eo/2014OctDec/0048.html>

Please join me in welcoming Brent Bakken as EOWG Co-Chair!

Best,
~Shawn, EOWG Team Contact :-)

[1] The announcement to W3C Members today said:
...
Brent Bakken (Pearson), is appointed new co-Chair of the Education and Outreach Working Group (EOWG):
W3C is pleased to announce Brent Bakken, who joins Sharron Rush as Co-Chair of the Education and Outreach Working Group (EOWG). Brent replaces Shawn Henry as EOWG Co-Chair. Many thanks to Brent for offering his time to EOWG. Shawn will continue in her role as Team Contact.
Brent's appointment takes effect with this notice.

We would like to thank Shawn Henry for her work as Chair of WAI IG and Co-Chair of EOWG, and for her leadership of EOWG for many years.
...

[2] Team Contact role is to "acts as the interface between the Chair, group participants, and the rest of the Team". Team = W3C staff. <http://www.w3.org/2015/Process-20150901/>
If you're interested, info on the Role of the Team Contact is here <http://www.w3.org/Guide/staff-contact>

[3] Note that Working Group Chairs are not usually regular scribes; usually Working Group participants take turns scribing. Sharron has volunteered to do it. I *greatly* appreciate Sharron taking this task, and am in awe of Sharron's scribing abilities. It's hard to do well. Thank you, Sharron, for scribing EOWG telecons, along with your Chairing work!
