I am pretty sure that this violates SC 2.4.4 in spirit if not in letter. I would definitely advise a client to change it if I audited their site. If you step through the page with a one letter command, in this case "b" for button you will get "Detailed Information" repeated over and over and it will be context free and lack the button's meaning. Moreover, in this case the button acts as a link to more information. So, it's link purpose is non-unique. I do not think a WAI working group should risk violating Level AA. How to fix it. There is the usual way to hide it visually, but as I pointed out I use 500% frequently and the same information loss applies for me. Since most browsers don't support semantic navigation, I often turn on NVDA in silent mode. So the "b" pressed problem applies to me as well. How do we fix it for blind and users with LV. Why not make the additional information visible on focus or on hover. It is not there most of the time, but there when you need it. Wayne
