Planning for Web Accessibility document - guidance for review this week

Hi All,

Thanks for taking a look at the Planning for Web Accessibility document. I appreciate that this week there was a lot of content and limited time to go through before the call. This email is to help focus your review of it now. I have highlighted what I will try to address based on feedback from the call today and what I will aim to complete before next weeks meeting. I have also included some specific questions for you to consider based on feedback, and the general questions to consider.

Resource is available at: http://w3c.github.io/wai-planning-and-implementation/Overview.html

Changes to be implemented from feedback:
• Review and reduce instances of ‘should’. This is related to the overall tone an trying to keep it informative rather than directive.
• Remove ‘Introduction’ heading, or move out of viewport.
• Consider a subtitle for the main page title - something that will provide the scope in a sentence… without link baiting.

Specific questions to consider based on feedback:
• Should I avoid the right floated examples block in ‘Establish Roles and Responsibilities’?
• What are the possible alternatives to ‘Discussion’ that are more action oriented, for example, Ideas into Action?
• Is ‘Buy-In’ in the ‘Determine Goal and Promote Buy-In’ section appropriate for translation? Is there a better word or would it be appropriate to explain the word in the first part of this sections discussion?

For those that were unable to attend this weeks call, the minutes can be found at http://www.w3.org/2014/08/08-eo-minutes#item02.

New material that will be produced for next week:
• Maintain and monitor section - by Tues
• Promote organizational awareness - by Thurs

General questions to consider:
• Are all the points (concepts, thoughts, considerations, etc.) in the document?
• What thoughts do you have to reduce the text or otherwise make it more skimmable, readable, understandable, digestible, enjoyable?

Note: It's *not* yet ready for word-smithing, though comments on the content and editorial tone of these sections is welcome.

Comments can go in either:

• e-mail

Much appreciated,

Kevin
