Hello all, As discussed yesterday at the meeting, here are some comments on WAI ARIA FAQ at : http://www.w3.org/WAI/EO/Drafts/ARIA/faq They concern mainly language problem and understanding of technical issues. 1. Question 3 : What is ARIA intended to do? I have difficulties with the sentence : "Several basic Javascript widgets are well-known and commonly used and yet conspicuously missing from HTML 4 today." 2. Question : 4. What does ARIA offer All the list under "ARIA provides authors with the following:" is unclear because very technical. 3. Question : 6. Is ARIA available now? I don't understand the term activedescendant. 4; Other term : "precanned widgets" in question 7. 5. In question 10 : "10. Does ARIA need implementation in all popular browsers?" I wonder if last paragraph is necessary or should not be reworded : "This is very key because ARIA can be used now. There is no guarantee that any well-meaning new web technologies will be implemented by all browser manufacturers. This is what has stopped the web from moving forward in the past. There is no such issue with ARIA." 6. Question 20 should be updated : it says : "The PF aims to have finalized working drafts by mid-October, in time for the next W3C plenary." Best Sylvie
