Hi Chuck Opposite you I prefer definition A in “informative, non-normative and normative” as I think it is clearer and more straight forward, I don’t understand the need for the word “describing” Cheers Helle Sincerely Helle Bjarnø Visual Impairment Knowledge Centre Rymarksvej 1, 2900 Hellerup, Denmark Phone: +45 39 46 01 01 fax: +45 39 61 94 14 e-mail hbj@visinfo.dk < <mailto:hbj@visinfo.dk> mailto:hbj@visinfo.dk> Direct phone: +45 39 46 01 04 Mobile: +45 20 43 43 47 www.visinfo.dk www.euroaccessibility.org <www.euroaccessibility.org%20> -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: w3c-wai-eo-request@w3.org [mailto:w3c-wai-eo-request@w3.org] På vegne af Chuck Letourneau Sendt: 19. maj 2005 23:31 Til: Henk Snetselaar; w3c-wai-eo@w3.org Emne: Re: Lexicon: Four descriptions need consensus If I was a translator, I think I would appreciate Assistive Technology: definition A slightly more than definition B. Informative: definition B more than A. Non-normative: definition B more than A, but neither really works for me. Normative: definition B more than A. I think my slight problem with the definitions of Non-Normative is that, in an alphabetical English listing it appears before Normative which it should (in my opinion) follow (in a strictly narrative sense). Anyway, those are my votes. There were only four descriptions without a clear consensus of the EOWG-group. These four are on top of the list in the attached document and has two alternative descriptions. Although the differences are minor we want to have your final word on that. We hope to have some time in tomorrows call to get this ready. Please read the stuff.
