EOWG, Please carefully read the plan for WAI site documents below. BACKGROUND We are creating and revising several pages along with the WAI site redesign. Some of these are short, simple pages and we would like to try a different process in an effort to complete them efficiently and effectively. Basically, EOWG participants will review them and send issues for discussion prior to the teleconference. PROCESS We will send notice that a document is ready for review to the EOWG list early in the week. We'll ask that EOWG participants review the documents and send any issues for discussion to the list before the meeting. I will compile the issues for discussion into an agenda. Then the discussion at the teleconference can focus first on those issues already brought up on the list and included in the agenda. To reiterate: This means that EOWG participants need to review the documents the middle of the week and send all issues to the list the day before the teleconference. SENDING ISSUES When you send issues to the list, clearly indicate which version of which document you are commenting on. It is preferable that for each issue you include: 1. The current wording 2. Concerns with the current wording 3. Suggestions for revision 4. Reasons for the revision However, it is also acceptable to just say something like, "That sentence is really confusing and I'm not sure why or how to fix it." ACTION ITEM Please schedule time this week to review documents that we send to the list on Tuesday 13 July and Wednesday 14 July. Please send issues for discussion by Thursday 15 July. Best regards, ~ Shawn
