Hi all, Sorry, I've been very busy in the last couple of weeks...and haven't had a chance to produce an updated full-partial conformance proposal... I tried to attach the latest MASTER document that reflects changes made on our extended call...(I'll try in a separate email)...some open issues are marked @@...the first six are: 1. Proposed New Part A Conformance Applicability Note: Platform limitations: When Part A success criteria depend on specific platform features, such as the presence of a platform accessibility service, keyboard interface, or keyboard shortcuts, these success criteria are "not applicable" on platforms that do not include these features. The (optional) explanation of conformance claim results should explain that these platform features are missing. 2. Proposed New Part A Conformance Applicability Note: Unrecognizable content: When success criteria require authoring tools to treat web content according to semantic criteria (e.g. is a text alternative, is an image, etc.), the success criteria only apply when the semantics are present (e.g., not in the the case of scripted content lacking WAI-ARIA information). 3. Reworded Note and Intent for A.1.2.1 Accessibility Guidelines 4. Reworded note for A.1.2.2 Platform Accessibility Services 5. New example for A.2.1.1 Text Alternatives for Rendered Non-Text Content 6. Reworded SC: A.2.2.2 Access to Rendered Text Properties Cheers, Jan (Mr) Jan Richards, M.Sc. jrichards@ocad.ca | 416-977-6000 ext. 3957 Inclusive Design Research Centre (IDRC) OCAD University
