For clarity, I suggest we reword:

Note 1: This success criterion (as well as B.1.3.2 and B.1.3.3) applies 
to the automated behavior specified by the authoring tool developer 
under the assumption that the author(s) will respond properly to any 
prompts.

Note 1: This success criterion (as well as B.1.3.2 and B.1.3.3) applies 
to the automated behavior specified by the authoring tool developer only 
when the author(s) respond properly to any prompts.
