Good evening, On behalf of "association BrailleNet", I'm happy to officially inform the W3C of our intention to become the LTO for developing an authorized translation of WCAG 2.0 into French. We followed the "W3C Policy for Authorized W3C Translations" and we have identificated major and relevant stakeholder organizations with which we will coordinate the review of the translation. All the stakeholder organizations which have formally agreed to be in this committee are listed on the following Web page : http://www.braillenet.org/accessibilite/wcag20/comite.php They come from different areas - private and public sector - and include local disability organizations and accessibility research organizations. More, 5 countries where French is spoken are represented : Belgium, Canada (Quebec), France, Republic of Mauritius, Switzerland. I will be the contact person for this job and on behalf of the "WCAG 2.0 French Committee", I'm waiting for the formal agreement of W3C in order to start working on the WCAG2.0 Candidate Authorized Translation. Very best regards, -- Pierre GUILLOU AccessiWeb Directeur AccessiWeb Digital & Web Accessibility Chief Officer Tel: +33 (0)1 44 27 26 25 pierre.guillou@accessiweb.org http://www.accessiweb.org ------------------------------ Association BrailleNet INSERM - UPMC B23 9, quai Saint Bernard 75252 Paris cedex 05 France http://www.braillenet.org ------------------------------
