Hi Coralie, I wish the "translator" of these documents could in fact speak a word in Turkish. He cannot speak Turkish, I know this because he asked me to translate the message I sent to him in Turkish. The translator of these documents should have been specified truthfully. The first part of the documents contain non-Turkish characters like ý, Ý, ð, þ. Apparently he is not aware of this. Little attention was paid to grammar in the documents, e.g. a capital letter is expected after a ':', the term "ya da" (meaning "or") was instead a single non-word "yada", the non-Turkish letter "w" was used in a Turkish word. Also, translating a technical document requires knowledge of the technical terms in the target language. Using the Turkish pronounciations of English words, and expecting these non-words suddenly become Turkish technical words is an insult to the language. Therefore I request that you do not refer to these documents on your pages. Translating documents that contain so many links to other English documents does not serve its purpose anyway. If it did, we would have already translated those documents. Best regards, Nilgün 17 Eylül 2008 Çarşamba 00:52 sularında, Thomas Ziegler şunları yazmıştı: > > Hello Coralie and Team, > > this is to announce that the first bunch of translations to > turkish is done. > > Original: http://www.w3.org/Style/Examples/007/alternatives > Turkish: http://tr.tz8.de/style-examples-007-alternatives.html > --- > Original: http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/members.php3 > Turkish: http://tr.tz8.de/style-css-members.html > --- > Original: http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/Disclosures > Turkish: http://tr.tz8.de/style-css-disclosures.html > --- > Original: http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS-vs-XSL > Turkish: http://tr.tz8.de/style-css-vs-xsl.html > --- > Original: http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/learning > Turkish: http://tr.tz8.de/style-css-learning.html > --- > Original: http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/SAC/ > Turkish: http://tr.tz8.de/style-css-sac.html > --- > Original: http://www.w3.org/Style/styling-XML > Turkish: http://tr.tz8.de/style-styling-xml.html > --- > Original: http://www.w3.org/Style/Examples/007/scrollbars > Turkish: http://tr.tz8.de/style-examples-007-scrollbars.html > --- > > I tested all translated documents with the w3.org html validator and > the link validator and found no mistakes. > > If you consider these translations suitable please link to them from the > original sources. > > > Best regards, Thomas Ziegler > > >
