Dear translators I know that some of you, if not most of you, make sure to check the validity of the markup of your Web documents. The W3C is starting a Beta Test period for the W3C Markup Validator: http://validator-test.w3.org/ The Quality Assurance team announced the beta test period today and I thought I'd spread the word in the translators' community. Other than cosmetic and UA changes, the new validator is using a new library as a wrapper around its main parser, resulting in drastic speed improvements, and a lot of interesting new possibilities. In order to make the stable release as successful as possible, the tool will have to be tested in a variety of conditions by as many people as possible. This is the time when *you* get to make a big difference on the quality of the validator. Please read more to find out about the changes, the possibilities and how to report issues and bugs: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-validator/2007Apr/0074 Best regards, Coralie -- Coralie Mercier Communications | Administration mailto:coralie@w3.org World Wide Web Consortium - http://www.w3.org MIT/CSAIL - 32 Vassar St. - Room G530 - Cambridge, MA 02139 - USA T:+1.617.324.8320 F:+33(0)492387822 http://www.w3.org/People/CMercier/
