In addition to more formal presentations that will be given at the World Wide Web Conference in April (technical papers have been submitted, and this activity is a part of the W3C track), I'm thinking that it might be a good idea to take advantage of the new half-day workshop format (see http://www6conf.slac.stanford.edu/workshops) to hold working sessions on XML and DSSSL. The idea would be to hold a half-day workshop on XML Monday morning, April 7, and a half-day workshop on DSSSL that afternoon. This would tie in nicely with reports on XML and DSSSL during Developer's Day (Friday, April 11). This idea may conflict with plans that other people might already have made, but I didn't realize until this morning that the half-day format was an option. The deadline for filing workshop proposals is this Monday, February 3, so I have to act quickly to reserve these spots. Please contact me off the list if you happen to know of any potential collisions. What I need to know from the WG is, who can commit to attending either or both of these workshops? The conference is being held in Santa Clara, California; please see http://www6conf.slac.stanford.edu/ for conference information, and get back to me BY PRIVATE MAIL (don't clutter the list with this) if you feel confident that you will be able to participate in one or both of the workshops. I would like to know by Monday if possible so that I can word the proposals appropriately. Jon
