http://ietf.cse.ucsc.edu:8080/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=161 Summary: EVALUATE_ALL_OF_IF_HEADER Product: WebDAV-RFC2518-bis Version: -07 Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: 09. HTTP Headers for Distributed Authoring AssignedTo: joe-bugzilla@cursive.net ReportedBy: elias@cse.ucsc.edu QAContact: w3c-dist-auth@w3.org 2518 says that a server only needs to evaluate the portions of the If: header that it finds appropriate. This underminds the stated primary purpose of the If header: for the client to submit assertions on the request because the server might ignore a few assertions and just go ahead with a request and the client doesn't know if the assertions were evaluated or not. Jason Crawford: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-dist-auth/2002OctDec/0083.html Approved heartily right after proposed. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
