http://ietf.cse.ucsc.edu:8080/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=25 Summary: lock to unmapped URL Product: WebDAV-RFC 2518-bis Version: -06 Platform: Other URL: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-dist- auth/2004JulSep/0153.html OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: 07. Write Lock AssignedTo: joe-bugzilla@cursive.net ReportedBy: julian.reschke@greenbytes.de CC: w3c-dist-auth@w3.org 7.4, p3 "A lock request to an unmapped URL should result in the creation of a resource that is locked. A subsequent PUT request with the correct lock token should normally succeed, and provides the content, content-type, content-language and other information as appropriate." If this is supposed to be normative text, it should use "SHOULD" instead of "should" (same problem with many places where text was added). Besides, what is "should normally succeed" supposed to mean? ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
